NYでの展示会について

New MONSTER created by next-generation artists

This event is a traveling exhibition of MONSTER exhibition that was held at SHIBUYA (TOKYO) in February 2013.
MONSTER exhibition is one of the projects of RECOVER & REBUILD Japanese art & design.

This NY exhibition includes the installation and six art works that were awarded at previous MONSTER exhibition in SHIBUYA.
New York based artists, Kenzo Minami and Meguru Yamaguchi joined this event as invited guests.

The installation is achieved by cooperation from Tohoku University, which provided infographic design
the research data of the Great East Japan Earthquake.

MONSTER is the representation of the Tsunami that swallowed the coast of eastern Japan. However, we
did not come to convey sadness. The objective is for everyone to enjoy art and to get to know what happened in Japan from disaster data at the end.
